Saladero Lodge is
nestled between the luxuriant green mountains of the
Piedras Blancas National Park and the turquoise
waters of Costa Rica's Golfo Dulce. Imagine starting
each day with the calm waters of the Golfo Dulce as
your view and the calls of howler monkeys and
toucans as your soundtrack. Spend your days kayaking
in the mangrove forest, snorkeling at a local coral
reef or exploring the wondrous jungle by foot or

crimson sunset over the Osa Peninsula accompanied by
a chorus of tree frogs singing in the forest. This

The 480 acre finca(farm) of Saladero Lodge is boat
accessible only, a pristine plot of paradise tucked
away in Costa Rica's Piedras Blancas National Park.
Untainted by roads or
honking horns, Saladero Lodge offers incredible
opportunities for ocean enthusiasts. Kayaking,
fishing, snorkeling or dolphin watching are part of
the many activities that the Golfo Dulce waters have
to offer.
Our jungle lodge is a constant delight of wildlife
viewing. You can enjoy it from the manicured gardens
or for the more adventurous, the Piedras Blancas
National Park as our backyard can provide some more
or less strenuous hikes. From towering trees to
minuscule orchids you will be amazed by the prolific
life of the rain forest. Escape from it all here at
Saladero.
The
Beach House
Just steps
from the beach and at the center of all
activity, the two-story beach house is
constructed from beautiful exotic hardwoods
and offers unobstructed 360° views of the
property and gulf. The main house will
accommodate large groups or an extended
family.
The second story offers open-air lounging
with a private king bedroom and bath, a huge
open living area with additional sleeping
area with two queen beds and a guest bath.
The living room area with sofa, tables and
chairs overlooks the ocean, flora and fauna
below.
The private outdoor passive solar hot water
shower lies among the botanicals and under
the blue sky or evening stars.
The
Tree House
Eighty-eight
steps lead to this private and intimate
treetop cabin in the canopy overlooking the
gulf. The spacious cabin is equipped with a
full bath and beautiful hardwood floors.
The tree house offers visitors the
opportunity to observe activity while
perched in native jungle canopy. Howler
monkeys, toucans, and parrots are just a few
of the animals you may spot while sipping
your morning tea or coffee on the private
balcony.
This cabin is perfect for those seeking
tranquility and harmony with nature. It is
fully screened and has a queen bed and a
single bed. Electic lighting from a battery
and candles. The shower is cold water only.
You would also have access to the hot shower
on the front of the beach house.
Mariposa Cabin
Totally
screened with battery lighting. The Mariposa
cabin has one double bed and one single bed.
Private garden location close to the
pineapple plants and the cashew trees with a
view of the Golfo Dulce in front.
Tents
Finca Saladero
offers 30 acres of maintained tropical
gardens for those who seek a true camping
adventure. Our tended gardens offer plenty
of room for budget travelers or spirited
naturalists alike.
A new full shower and bathroom is available
as well as an additional outside shower
close to the beach, wood bbq grill and
covered picnic table. The beach house nearby
has UV treated water for drinking and we
offer coke, bottled water, beer and wine for
sale.
